The three endings was a promo gimmick. When I saw it I had Ending B w/ Mrs. Peacock as the guilty person. I didn't know about the other endings until the VHS. Tim Curry also had a somewhat neglected career in music. May I strongly recommend downloading his song from 1978, Sloe Gin, for a darkly funny but most excellent example of his talent.
