Before production started on the film, Sean Connery had grown tired of playing James Bond and on top of that, his relationship with the producers of the franchise had deteriorated. He also felt like he'd be typecast after playing the role for so long. The studio increased his pay in order for him to continue while knowing they may have to find his replacement afterwards. While this isn't the last time you'll see Sean Connery in the role of James Bond, the next movie does have a different actor playing the character. However, it would be his only time.

Good reaction video. Yeah this is my personal favorite Sean Connery Bond film best set best villian best international local. The sports car was a Toyota 2000GT. Normally a hard top but there were two specially made convertibles as Sean Connery couldn't fit in the normal car. And yes that was Roald Dahl author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and other childrens books who wrote the screenplay. I won't give anything away for the next one other than the fact that every actor portraying James Bond in the future not counting Daniel Craig makes reference to the next movie in their Bond portrayals for continuity purposes.
