Shark Girl is basically Autistic by hyper focusing on her obsessions she accidentally think of profound wider points. I think its also a commentary on evolution of story telling (The Author likes to play with familiar tropes.) And also a hint on the connection between Corpse God's World and This World in how the myths of ours are related to the realities of his. I had a theory that the Fire Breathing Bug is an AI but if its been around for a long time like in Feudal Times that throws a wrench in it, Either way the Bug I thought was either an AI or a Cult whose purpose to purge the world of beings that "don't belong" in this world. So naturally they would be against the Bastard Children of Sabaramond. However they might tolerate (for now) Corpse God as someone that can "eliminate" said bug. That's why in season 1 they asked him....are you a bug or a fix? Maybe the Bug has been around forever but recently they became more dangerous because they developed an AI that can more efficient in hypnotizing and coordinating the members. Civil basically with his statement is saying he wants the conflict and violence and cycle of revenge while also following his own logic of why its "justified" its just him making excuses for him wanting to fuck with people.
