I thought it was pretty obvious why she hates the world, the moment she left the orphanage she became a single Mom and had trouble finding work and taking care of her kid to the point of having to let the orphanage she grew up in take her back. The Russian lady last episode even talked about how she had to work as a maid in the orphanage because people wouldn't take someone without parents for work. The Outside world where she was told is full of hopes and dreams was cold and cruel. No she got her memories back in that moment, in all the scene she is "happy" she is drunk.

Wow Joe and and the chat seem so dense....a single Mom with no job experience or skills that grew up without parents in a society that doesn't trust people that grew up parentless, I wonder why she might be upset.......
