The werewolf guardians fought face to face and then got killed because they were intending to kill, but the rest of werewolf village shouldn't get involved in a massacre because of all the information gaps among the detective trios, the werewolf village, the Royce duos and the human village, and also not to mention the Banquet's appearances. 😢 However both villages were involved in separate lynching events in the past as well, and whoever pulls the string behind might still hold grudges from the past. Now both villages are at losses, yet the human village gained more advantages with the guidance from the Royce duos. Also I think that the window was broken from the interior of the room (assuming the crime scene is accurately depicted from the time of the crime in this episode.)
