Wow... another example of bad writing. Another character with hax powers, like Aizen with his illusions (which only lost to ichigo because he chose not to use his shikai on him because... pride and wanting to fight fairly or some bullshit despite the fact he did not fight fairly against Yammamoto and used trickery to defeat him because he knew he could not defeat him without undue risk otherwise.) But of course you don't have characters like Aizen and Gremmy use their OP powers correctly when it counts, otherwise they would be unbeatable. Gremmy could have just imagined any number ways to kill Kenpachi. Reailty warping powers wins vs all except another reality warper. He could have imagined Kenpachi with his head cut off and there... auto win. But nooooo. So stupid. Despite this another well animated fight and all. Just bad writing to make a super Op character and then make them super dumb.

I don't think it's bad writing. He said he never felt the need to prove how strong he was but once he was how OP Kenpachi is, he started thinking what kind of a monster he is which manifested into reality, but I do get what you mean. Maybe there's some kind of limit for his powers, imagining that someone lost their head would be too op, he could overthrow Yuhabaha himself (or whatever his name is lol)
