Agreed on the chocolate. Not a chocolate cake fan, but I do love me a good chocolate brownie. Chocolate cakes are just too dry and/or too “airy” half the time, but even just a mediocre chocolate brownie is thick and rich and um, well, moist. You gotta be pretty terrible at cooking to make a DRY brownie (or you gotta be on a particular diet with certain “abnormally used” ingredients). Plus, brownies are smaller. Sure, I admit that there are some wonderful chocolate cakes that aren’t dry, but there tends to be way to much richness in them as well. I can stomach about 3-5 bites of a rich, moist chocolate cake vs. half a tray of brownies with the same qualification.
