The OVA is so important for the progression of Violet's letter writing skills between ep 4 and 5. It's odd how she goes from not knowing if her letters are good enough to writing beautiful love letters without context of the OVA. In the OVA, Violet spends many days reading romance novels from various ages and writes many drafts of love letters for Ilma which results in the letters we see in Ep 5.
