You could look back to the first 2 episodes and it's a "blink and you'll miss it" sort of situation (I started to slowly piece together the clues myself after I saw this episode for the first time). The Fate series does require a lot of paying attention to, and even rewatching a few of the previous episodes, for you to kinda get the gist of everything that's happening.
