Basically she used her skill points to learn intermediate magic because she didnt have enough for advanced and because she learned magic she has graduated from the school meaning she doesn't have easy access to skill potions anymore and will have to earn her points fighting actual monsters which is obviously more dangerous and the villagers will see her as an under achiever/failure because it looks like she chose intermediate instead of waiting for more powerful stuff

Remember that the monster was four-legged in E1. So maybe it just shrunk to cat-size cuz of being exploded on & re-sealed again? Also the BOOBA onee-san did say something about "my other half" when she assblasted the 4-legged monster thingie on that aztec pyramid thingie looking structure, so I assume we are meant to conclude the monster is a part of her? https://i.imgur.com/Hk3sCOT.png https://i.imgur.com/tvS1Fzl.png Here had to go to episode 1 to recheck, and it seems I recalled right. Also is it just me or does the structure look bigger in E1 than in this episode?? I thought they were different structures at first, but after rechecking I realized they are the same structure Edit: oh and right when she first starts to talk to Megumin, she's wondering to herself who released her from her Seal (I didn't actually remember this bit, good thing I went looking for screencaps so had to speedrun through E1 to find the right spots cuz I forgot when she said the line etc, since the flashbacks are spread across E1), so I guess in hindsight that pretty much confirms her to be the Dark God, then? Especially since said direct underling is there, so I doubt he's wrong given how closely related he is to the subject matter

for chomuskes name all crimson demons name stuff with cool sounding names. wich are all basically chunni names if you dont remember megumin named kazumas sword chunchunmaru wich was a low key diss at kazumas dick cuz she dissed him for pickig a small sword

basically we all know the crimson demons want to be COOOOL so their standard of learning magic is probably "we don't waste points for weak magic, we only do advanced magic!" That's why the school feed their students with rare exp monsters and skill points potions. In this episode Megumin first thought was to learn advanced magic to save Komekko (that means she will need to save up skill points again for long long time to learn explosion), therefore Yunyun learned intermediate magic (she didn't have enough for advanced) so that Megumin didn't have to waste her point. And in the later scene, Megumin realized that she actually had enough for explosion now because she killed that rare duxions the second time in last episode.

2024-01-13 08:17:17 Yeah, this anime is pretty easy to follow as long as you pay attention and don't take it too seriously. And also understand not-so-subtle nuances for humor and such. That said, that first explosion scene was so epic. Studio popped off.
