2023-04-25 12:31:29 Gil has every right to be cocky, since he's 2/3 or is it 3/4 a deity (demi-god dad married goddess mom), also since he's from rly old Age of Gods era, he's OP af by definition, compared to later eras w/ less & less magical energies globally, after the gods got the Big Yeet into another layer of Reality Also correct, this is in the 90's, since it's 60 years between Grail Wars, and the last one also had fuckers from nazi Germany too IIRC (at least in some parallel realities, but the dates should remain the same even in the ones where this wasn't the case however)

If you are still confused about their family relationship, you can try to recall their lines in these 3 Eps. From the very beginning of Ep1, Kiritsugu already mentioned that ''you are going to die because of me'', and in this Ep, Irisviel said ''having happiness memory will only give him pain''. Try to put them together with their possible ''plan'' in winning the war may help you understand them more. Also, Kiritsugu talk about illya in this Ep too, saying ''she is still weighs less than the Walter''. You can see how complex their feeling/family relationship are.

Writing "nazi version" could lead to misunderstandings, because the writers only used that aspects to justify an alternate ending in the holy grail war in the 1930's for the story of Fate Apocrypha.
