I feel like Midorya in this context is lucky since unlike All might, he has a lot of things he can rely on and not have to necessarily sacrifice parts of himself to reach that point. Its as if the costume is a look at what could be if Midorya really had to push through or no one else would be able to. That torn design with the edges, empty eyes, crackling energy, mouth piece covering features and the ears that now looked like horns, all comes together to remind me to some other shows with things resembling demons or dangerous entities.

Ever since we got the OST Symbol of Fear, I thought it was the perfect fit for the Deku vs Class A fight (albeit a revamped one slightly less dark). But I love how they kept the same OST when Deku first started patrolling during this arc. It brings the focus squarely on the characters rather than the action which is needed for the 1st part of this fight.
