My grandmas been running an arcade shop for over 60 years and she’s got the classic machines and they are long lasting as fuck when I visit her the machines are still good and functioning. The one thing she says that does need replacing is the buttons cuz they wear out after a few years of continuous use. But there’s a plethora of buttons so she’s good on spares.

Wow, so the actual machines dont really need a lot of maintenance then. Now I'm wondering where I read or heard that they would need maintenance every few years. Then again, I did say in the reaction that maybe since they were untouched for so long they were fine 🤷‍♂️

Kids love to smash the buttons or spill drinks on them so much so that’s the main problem that happens other then that as long as they don’t break the screen they last for practically ever.

This episode is pretty in line with the game once they get to the mall. The stuff before the mall is new. And in the game you have to do more as Ellie in the present cutting back and forth between the 2 times. But overall a pretty spot on adaptation and the important moment from the game were handled perfectly if not better. The photo booth, the kiss, and the line 'let's be all poetic and lose our minds together.' Are the moments that really stuck out to me from the game so I'm glad they were done so well. I know they took out some other stuff from the mall, but that was more game stuff. You got to have a water gun fight and throw bricks at car windows with Riley. It was a contest she set up.
