I don't know if you've ever checked it out, but since you really like Golden Time you should check out Tora Dora. The Tora Dora and Golden Time light novels were written by the same woman.

Hm seems like this is worth a rewatch? I remember sorta not liking it that much when it first aired, maybe I was comparing it too much to Toradora. Maybe I'll enjoy it more now 🤔

While some people do enjoy Toradora (me included), most don't. I am not really sure how you can compare them, yeah they have the same makers, etc. But the story and characters are completely different. I rate Toradora higher (5 starts) than golden time (4 stars), but I definitely enjoyed both of them a lot. You should give it another try.

Maybe I'll do a Toradora rewatch (I watched it at the start of 2020 or 2021... those years are a blur to me) in a couple of years. Maybe end of 2024 into 2025 Ill rewatch Oregairu (watched in 2020), A Silent Voice (watched in 2018), Your Name (watched in 2018), and Toradora. I'll probably have forgotten them by then with my memory.

I love Toradora, I rewatch it every 4-5 years. Can't really remember why I didn't vibe with this series back then.

I find personally the best kind of shows is when a character starts out kind of unlikeable but through good writing or development grows on you

I was kinda on the same boat when this first came out. But it wasn't because I thought this show was bad, it was more like other shows that came out around the same time were just more interesting to me. But after I got around to watching this a few years after it came out, this turned out to be one of my favorite drama/romcom animes of all time.
