I dropped this show at episode 4 - I always find harems to be tiresome. I just watched episode 1 of Lycoris Recoil from this Summer season and it was pretty great.

problem is there are only yo much plots you can tell with the same setting and most author go the safe road

How come the anime never mentioned that Lydia is the offspring of one of the Evil Gods? It should have come up volumes ago already (they also ignored the Volume 1 epilogue about Ard's parents, which I found hilarious af in the LNs, I assumed they'd have done it for season finale, but it never appeared it seems...) Also like Ard said, Lydia's instincts are INSANELY SHARP, despite her actual brainlet nature. So because of what and how Ard asked her, and how his (internal) emotional state was like, she could pretty much figure out that he was gonna pull some brainlet shit like that, so she showed him the reason she plans to die that way, and he better fucking not change it cuz it's HER Choice. I honestly think that this instinctive big brain behavior is actual some kind of inherent trait prolly originating from w/e Evil God spawned her originally, that's generally how this type of lineage shit works in other Isekai and such series, at any rate so w/e

There are bunch of new good ones I’ve read manga/LN but majority of the anime getting announced with the demon lord is reborn tag is mostly the generic one. Weird how they pick series to animate tbh
