I don't know how much I want to divulge. Because I don't wanna be one of "those light-novel readers". But in the light novel this was all explained in the early chapters so i think i can get away simple info. In Leadale, there are over 4000 skills and if you obtain the original 4000 organically, without purchasing them, you become a "Skill Master". Only 13 people have done this. The the level cap in Leadale is 1000, if you complete the final challenge in the game you get to level up to 1100 making you a "Limit Breaker". Only 25 people have done this.

If I remember correctly, regarding the item box ability, in the light novels it when Cayna meets Mai Mai and her husband, it explains that people are aware that item boxes exist, but are now rare [because almost all players are gone from the world] They consider item boxes a lost magic, and don't understand why they used to be common in the past. They aren't aware of the distinction between players and the NPC's of the past and that only players could have item boxes. Mai Mai's husband actually tries to get Cayna to teach him her method of potion making and gives him a scroll with the technique, but explains that he might not be able to learn it because it has to be used from an item box to gain the skill. She lets him have ti anyway and wishes him luck trying to learn it, but warns him that there's a time limit on the scroll and eventually it will poof out of existence if he can't learn it. They cut that whole exchange out of the anime, I guess because they thought it wasn't important enough to include, unless they plan to change how it works in this show.
