Hi Everyone,

I finally managed to get the first games booted in the emulator for the new system. This is a huge step for the project, as the components I tested seperate before must now work hand in hand together. Also the motiviation always gets a boost when this happens.

I even got one game more or less fully working, but with some visual glitches. However, most games have severe graphical glitches and about 2/3 of those games I tested refuse to start at all. Still, I'm happy that this next step worked out.

It's no surprise that there are plenty of graphical problems, as only basic graphic features are implemented until now.

The full progress:

- CPU: 60%, some fixes

- Graphics: 30%, some fixes

- Memory 80%, no change

- Subcomponent 1: 80%, no change

- Subcomponent 2: 60%, huge parts validated

- Inputs: 50%, no change, works in games

- Sound: 50%, no change, seems to be ok as far as I heard it in the games

- Saving still missing

The next step is the graphic system. That's why I don't show a screenshot today yet, but wait with it until it's a little bit more polished at least.

As soon as the graphics are working in most cases, I want to improve the compatibility to at least 50% games going ingame before starting with the FPGA side.

Have fun!

... or, could this be the Atari Jaguar core we've been dreaming of? :) Subcomponent 1 = Tom, Subcomponent 2 = Jerry? (I know there is a WIP core, but it seems to have stalled out ...) So much suspense! 😅

Yeah, the jaguar actually had 2 micro processors on board as well...my money is on a jaguar core... In an earlier post he spoke to a "recently released emulator" Jaguar had a giant emulator update released recently after atari 50 was released The dev of the emulator said he would only help with the emulator if he could release it to the public after So given the time frame lf this, and the time frame of atari 50... my money....jaguar
