Hi Everyone,

I got the audio output of the new system working in my emulator!

Audio has always been tricky for me, because of two reasons:

- it's hard to compare to original output without tools and even then it's not bit perfect comparable like video if the output of the original system is not digital already.

- in an emulator, you must reach 100% speed, otherwise it sounds like garbage

To implement audio I made the emulated CPU slower, so i can reach around 100% speed and compare by ear. It's not stable 100% speed, so you will hear some cracks in it, but I can tolerate that for development.

Hopefully the video is on top is working for you, my first try here on Patreon. I have chosen a cover of a popular song from a PSX game as first example.

Furthermore I was able to implement the Input system, so controls are working now.

The full progress:

- CPU: 60%, some fixes

- Graphics: 20%, no change

- Memory 80%, no change

- Subcomponent 1: 80%, no change

- Subcomponent 2: 30%, no change

- Inputs: 50%, working for all typical cases

- Sound: 50%, all tests i have work, but games still need to show what is missing

- Saving still missing

With this now i might try to get a game booting. Some more improvements to the graphics and subcomponent 2 are probably required to really get a game starting up, but even having something visible on screen would be great.

Have fun!

Could Components 1 and 2 be the RDP and RSP… hmmmmm… 🤔🤐😅😅 Thank you Robert for all your hard work no matter what core is or what the outcome is — you are a treasure to the retro gaming community !
