Picking up where Prince of Persia 08 left off, Elika's efforts to find her people are put to a premature end.

I leaned heavily on Zoroastrianism theology for this, given that the game drew heavily from that as a source. No offense intended to anyone who follows the faith; there's a lot to be said for it, and my interpretation is strictly fictitious and meant to entertain a rarified group.

This story is the second subscriber-chosen and exclusive story for this month, so Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. For my subscribers, thank you for joining me on this weird adventure. I have a lot planned for 2024 and I hope you stick around to see where this takes us. Your help makes these stories possible and keep these tales alive, so thank you. I hope you continue to enjoy what I'm putting out.

@BalthaZarDragon did the art for this, all of it save the last little bit - I wanted something from the game. The Dragon does excellent art in a variety of styles and is pretty much my go-to artist - just an absolutely incredible talent who does do commission work. Seek him out. He's amazing.

That's it, I think, for 2023. Happy New Year, friends.

This story is 12, 794 words long.
