     So here she is--evil Deja, before she was Deja, that is--inked, then with gray tones. I should have pointed out with the last commission that, as with this one, when I know I'm going to be adding gray tones, I ink much more sparingly, sticking mostly to thick lines and omitting thin lines that indicate tones, shadows, etc. This is because, while you can use graphite over thin ink lines, it's not a pretty thing. So basically, an inked piece awaiting gray tones--the way I do it anyway--is not especially impressive. But hopefully the finished piece pleases some eyes...especially the commissioner!
