     Here's one with an interesting explanation.

     Remember when I mentioned you should never try new media while on a manic swing? I wasn't kidding. After thirty years as a diagnosed manic-depressive, I can work through pretty much any mood swing. I know to be careful of when I try out new things, but when it comes to personal work, I allow myself more flexibility.  It was during a recent period of ridiculous optimism that I tried out a new set of markers on the first color sketch for the Female Franky pinup. It was...less than successful. So less-than that I had to scrap it (I've spared you having to view it). I cut out the figure and mounted her on another sheet of paper, and tried again, this time mixing in more familiar media. The overly intense rim-lighting around her body is an unerasable remnant of that first failed attempt. This second go is a tremendous improvement, trust me. So if she looks oddly like a cut-out and crazily back-lit, that's why.  Anyway, she's a sport, and never complained once.
