     I don't recall the exact request on this commission, but just looking at it, I'm sure it was to depict the perfect marriage. (Is there an emoji for a rimshot?) But seriously, I think Brutus and Nessie are a cute couple. As we saw in a nightmare of his, Brutus is obviously not oblivious of Nessie's flirtations (and possibly more), but he's fiercely loyal to her. Is that sad? I think it's sweet. He understands her motivations...likely more than she does herself.  And as for Nessie, well, she may play around a lot, but don't take that as a lack of love for her husband.  Anyone who tries to hurt Brutus is going to have their face ripped off in a blur of scales and claws.
