Ohio's Sugarloaf Mountain, just outside of Chillicothe, was the Hopewell's literal holy mountain --the axis mundi that virtually all of their earthworks in the Ohio Valley region are oriented towards. It also happens to be off of the infamous US Route 23, which we've been exploring of late:

There is some serious astral magick at play in this spot. It is not only a crossroads, but a crossroads of souls and other forces. And it happens to be in a curious park --go figure.
