Wow that was intense! Great battle! Thank you! I'm kinda surprised to find that Xvim hasn't taken a greater interest in physical fitness given the importance to the application of defensive magic, but I guess he doesn't use it in practical application as often as Alanic.

This chapter was AMAZING. Like one of my favourite chapters in a long time. After the last chapter I expected the restart to end. I did not expect this masterpiece. Like wow, when you write combat, you nail it so hard.

Also, I love how the teleportation warding lessons with Xvim paid off! Preventing teleportation allowed Xvim to get in that layered orb, which distracted QI long enough for Zach's knives. If Zach and Alanic had been tossing Kael’s soul-dispelling coins at that moment, the battle would have been over.

Holy shit that was good. Like GOOD. There aren't a whole lot of instances of straight up spell combat in this story, but when you do write it you knock it out of the park.
