When Kireli compared Zorian to a hedgehog I suddenly got the image in my head of sonic wearing glasses and an unamused expression attempting levitate the pen while old man Silver Xvim throws marbles at him and says "You're too slow".

Yay new chapter, lotta exposition in this one... Thanks as always!

Man, some great stuff in this one. Kiri&co are cuties.

Great chapter thanks! Xvim is really coming off as a good guy without selfish motivations. I'm wondering what he is really up to.

This chapter was really great. I am glad you managed to give every character a distinctive voice. It really adds to the pleasure of reading the story.

One week end without, one more to go before a great one where Mother of Learning advance !

I've got a question that is abstract enough that I hope you are willing to answer it. Zorian has come a long way since his start. But in terms of his final capacity and growth - what he will be capable of? How much more potential for growth does he have before it levels off?

nobody103

A lot. The time loop lets him consider some things that most mages wouldn't and makes some things possible that otherwise wouldn't be - his potential for growth is huge, even taking his inherent limitations (such as relatively low mana reserves) into account. I can't tell you what the endgame is, but he'll be a lot more powerful at the end of the story than he is at the moment.

What about Zack? Because he lacks much of the limitations that Zorian has, but on the flip side seems to lack some of the capacity for insights that Zorian has - and thus the ability to exploit them.

nobody103

That's a bit of a spoiler, so you'll have to wait until the issue is addressed within the story itself...

I'm getting excited. Quick question. In this world is there any super well known powerful wizards that everyone knows about? Either currently alive or in the past? Such as Merlin or Dumbledore or whatever in those characters worlds? If so, what kinds of things were they/are they capable of? Maybe a generic example of something amazing they can do.

Today is the day.

There's Damien! We don't really know how much the best mages are capable of yet. I'm guessing it's because (in part) mages love to keep their secrets. Zorian has commented before that the Ikosan magical tradition has become so successful because it played a huge role in dismantling personal secret-keeping and educating mages in a standardized way. The traditional mage paranoia probably still plays a role at the highest levels, so it's safe to assume that there's a lot of powerful magic we haven't seen.
