Well, here it is my dear patrons. Very late, but the new chapter is here. As I said in the delay announcement, the chapters are getting very hard to write. We're very close to the end and I don't want to bungle that.

Anyway... hopefully it's fun to read. Enjoy.

Great chapter, I love this story so much, and that has not changed since I started.

Yay, more Novelty screen time! Great chapter, well worth the wait. I did notice a few typos, original text then my suggested correction. I'm not sure why, but this chapter was incredibly satisfying. Maybe it was simply very process and character oriented?

nobody103

I always feel kind of uncertain when writing and publishing chapters like this, since they aren't really revealing much new information, there is no action, etc... but I do think they're important in showing character relations, pacing, and various other details, so I keep putting them in. I'm glad there are people who like them.

Brent

Well worth the wait. Thanks for the chapter. I can't imagine how hard it is to juggle this much foreshadowing without letting too much slip.

Chapter was great; anything to do with magic creation ranks highly in terms of satisfaction, personally, even if it isn’t loading the story with new points. Also, Novelty. I think you’re spot on about the pacing and characters

Andrew

Thank you!

If Novelty dies (again), I'm gonna cry

Simulacrum Zoriana dispelled his hand and again called her. I wonder, is this advantage only a simulacrum? I suppose an ordinary magician, having lost his hand, could not replace it with ectoplasm. Although, rather, he could, but he will have to be managed with the help of unstructured magic, and not in the old manner, by means of nerves. And this is much more complicated, right?

nobody103

Yes, it's much easier for a simulacrum to restore lost limbs and other damage, since they have no real internal structure and are just a mass of ectoplasm. A real person could replace their lost hand with an ectoplasmic one, but as you say... it would not be controlled by nerves. Additionally, if the mage is trying to replace the hand immediately after losing it, there are problems with blood loss, pain, etc. None of which would be solved by their brand new ectoplasmic hand.

This was a great read! Thanks so much for all the great writing.

Hello, I just read the chapter (thanks a lot, it was great!), and I have spotted quite a few typos to add to your list: "he couldn’t really justify wasting a time right now" [wasting time] "when he opened his eyes again the metal plate in front of his was densely covered in spell formula markings" [him] "A conspiracy this grant and far-reaching should be impossible to pull off" [grand] "she would probably trust her if she said Imaya had accompany them and hide for a few days" had [to] "That way, when he and Imaya came knocking" [Ilsa] (I think) "could attend our institution far more easily in the past" [than] in the past "Kirielle had already painted face on it" [a] face "I think your sister’s friends are going to very jealous of her" to [be] very jealous "The contract strong suggested" [strongly] "he was definitely not looking forward for that conversation" looking forward [to] Have a nice day!
