I can already tell there is no way I will finish the next chapter by the end of the week, so I'm giving myself an extra week to do so. The new target date is 17th this month, or one week after the old one.

Sure, as long as you need, mate.

That is fine with me! Your story is amazing so I don't mind waiting.

I'm also glad that you aren't rushing what appears to be the end of the story. (Though I'd be even more happy if it'll go on for a lot longer :))

Dark Prophet

Or if we knew you were planning a full length sequel. Hint hint nudge nudge :)

Good luck and thanks for being so transparent. The 17th is just after midterms and at the start of spring break, so it'll be a nice reward.

So my brother pointed out something interesting. There are trains and bikes and a lot of walking. But little mention of horses and carts and other transport. At one point zorian uses a floating disk to help a townsperson which is described as a huge help but as simple horse and wagon could have done the same. Are horses missing or rare in this world? Or are they just not mentioned like I'm sure a lot of things arent worth mentioning (that's my guess).

I was actually seriously considering eliminating horses from the setting, but in the end I decided to leave it ambiguous because horses were incredibly influential for mankind's historical development and I don't think I could really take such a huge change into account properly. Horses are definitely not as common or appreciated in the setting as they were in out world, though, because animals can be easily influenced by even the simplest of mind spells... and horses are notoriously nervous and skittish animals. As such, I don't think states in the setting would dare field significant cavalry forces. A bunch of beginner mages could make all the horses panic or go berserk. They'd still be good for work and civilian transport, though.

Hi, you have to send this out to a publishing company or try to independently publish in 2/3 volumes. It is very good and not enough people are aware of your work.

I intend to see about the possibility of publishing the story after I finish it. I don't want to tangle with publishing until I'm done because that is a pretty involved task and would sap a lot of my energies. It is definitely being considered, though!
