The new chapter is finally here! Sorry for the delay people. I have set the next target date as if the chapter was published on Sunday, so no need to worry that this will affect the usual Sunday publishing schedule.

Mother of Learning Chapter 77: Testing, a fantasy fiction | FictionPress

Primordials were strange, enigmatic creatures. They were supposedly first-born children of the primordial dragon from which the world was fashioned, ancient and powerful. In life, their abilities had rivaled those of the gods themselves. In death, they had spawned a multitude of lesser primordials to continue their struggle.

"I presume you're referring to the idea of primordials being living universes masquerading as flesh-and-blood beings?" Zach asked. [Zach should be Zorian}

[EDIT: Just found the answer, although I suppose the last question still applies] Was just thinking, there are variations on the shifter rituals or say a bloodline ritual, right? If so, to gain a natural aptitude for say mind magic, could you just splice portions of an aranean soul onto yours? It was mentioned that it was possible for Zorian to have gotten a special aptitude or skill from having a large enough piece of foreign soul mixed into his in some older chapter, and if you couldn't draft a massive piece on without some serious personality changes or instincts, could you do it gradually, letting it be absorbed and integrated before adding on another portion?

I regards tot he last question: soul interactions are predictable and poorly understood. But such a procedure would span years and wouldn't be very effective even if it does work. If the soul piece is small enough that it doesn't affect you much, then your soul will mostly just assimilate it rather than merge with it.

What if they were to enchant a projectile (bullet) with the necromantic spell of the coin from Kael and then simply shoot Quatach-Ichl with it? Targeting him specifically and just wait to snipe him with a designated shooter seems as if it could work; especially if it was fired at the speed of a gun instead of say an arrow.

It could work, now that Zorian actually has the ability to use non-personal soul magic, but it's not nearly as trivial as many people assume it to be. You'd need to ambush him, which isn't exactly easy, and it would only work once: he'd have countermeasures against it when he hopped into another body and came after you in the aftermath.

I apologize if this has been asked before, but are you intending to get this published? It is such a well done story and I only accidentally came across it when it was on topwebfiction. I have been recommending it to my friends, but they typically only read published books/audiobooks. Thanks and keep up the great work!

It's been asked before, but don't worry about it. The answer is that I'm waiting to finish the story before I start considering publishing. I don't want to dive into that kind of undertaking before the story is done.

Hi! I just received an email from Patreon that they are changing the way that their fees are structured, would you mind giving your take on how this affects each individual payment and your total take home? Currently, I have set up a small recurring payment for each chapter, but I would gladly turn it to a manual cumulative bigger payment per few chapters if that what makes sense for you to get more money :)

Supposedly, this change is to make gains more consistent for content creators like me, meaning they charge me 5% for the money no matter the sum and the way it's metered out. The additional costs are pushed onto my patrons instead. Anyway, what I'm saying is that you should do what makes sense for you instead of me. I am totally fine with you spacing out your payments to bigger cumulative sums instead of smaller periodic ones. I should get the same amount of money from you regardless of what you choose, if Patreon's '5% on everything and no more' is correct.

Once per year might be smarter. If you change your doanations I'll switch but won't stop supporting even with patreon being weird.
