I loved your reaction and I think hairspray (2007) is a great movie but I still prefer hairspray live better.

"Your cat hates you." I died laughing. The original movie was directed by John Waters, who often used drag queen performer Divine in his movies. She played the original Edna, and traditionally now the role is played by males.

Great reaction ^^ This movie is, just as you described it, joyful! Just makes you happy and giddy - my head is dizzy from headbopping as well (maybe also cos it's 4:40 in the morning xD) It's a really strong cast all the way through, and luckily before Amanda Bynes went craycray - I always liked her early work a lot. The actress playing Tracy this was her very first job acting, which is pretty amazing. I absolutely love the song during the march, I Know Where I've Been, it's one of those songs that even though it's part of a musical it can stand alone, much like Defying Gravity from Wicked, and I really wish that the march scene could go viral at this point in time, because it really fits and it would just be so great with a positive viral video for once instead of all the terrible things happening. We need something powerful like this to happen. Just a few weeks ago there was a murder in Denmark, which has had close to zero media coverage, two men, one a self proclaimed white supremacist, killed a black man by sitting on his throat, suffocating him, just like what happened to George Floyd. It's horrible. And for whatever reason the Danish police refuses to call it a hate crime. The world needs to change. Glad you liked the movie - it was a joy watching it with you!

I LOVE this movie, one of my favorites. So sad about Amanda Bynes struggles with her mental health. I love her in this film. I wish you would have watched the credits because those are fun too haha
