Update on the Patreon Fee Changes (Patreon)

So, guys, it seems that the major community outcry has caused Patreon to pull back on the changes they were going to implement next week.

So, to sum things up, those changes I posted to you guys about will no longer take place, so apparently all the panic it caused was unnecessary in the end.

Well it wasn't a terrible idea, just heavily weighted against people who support multiple creators, especially if those creators charge per content and post multiple times a month. Here's hoping they do come up with a fair solution that everyone can agree upon, because the hard working creators here on this site do deserve as much of the money they are promised as possible.

I don't mean unnecessary in the sense that it served no purpose, given that it was the reason that they pulled out with the changes. But that it was unnecessary in the sense that if they were going to change their minds based on community outcry, they could have asked people before making changes and all the panic would have been avoided.

I don't know. I'd prefer that my patrons have peace of mind over getting a few more bucks every now and then.
