UPDATE 7/10/23: Wonderdraft pack now ready and available for download! See bottom of the post.

Super thrilled to get to share with you all something I've been wanting to put out for a while now: Regional Assets! Specifically, regional assets built from the more illustrative setting maps I started creating nearly a year ago. I really enjoy getting to work on these maps as they are such a stylistic departure from the top down battle maps and tokens I might more typically create.

From what I've seen those same maps have always been very well received too, so it stands to reason that you'll enjoy even more the ability to craft your own personal settings with them! Organizing, slicing, and prepping the many bits and pieces that goes into these maps is a bit time consuming, but I'm excited for the start that we're carving out here with Regional Assets 1.

This set includes:

  • 27 banners for placing labels throughout the map
  • 105 individual buildings
  • 35 "locations of interest" like temples, forts, etc.
  • 113 miscellaneous markers for piers, farm plots, tents, etc.
  • 64 "structures" such as bridges, walls, and castles
  • 92 "topography" pieces such as mountains, rivers, and coastlines
  • 117 trees and forests in both deciduous and coniferous varieties

Altogether that's 550+ assets!

Wonderdraft

That's right, wonderdraft! The sister-program to our more familiar dungeondraft, those of you already familiar with it will know that it's an outstanding application for the building of setting and regional maps in a way that's superior to what we'd expect to be able to do in the more encounter-focused dungeondraft.

The wonderdraft pack (wonderdraft works a bit differently so you'll find a zip file with the images contained therein rather than the self-contained DD packs) contains the vast majority of the packs contents, with the exception of the ground textures and some of the trees/mountains as those have been condensed into the programs corresponding tools. Wonderdraft's colorable function has a bit more versatility than DD's and therefore you'll find many of the assets come with the ability to customize up to 3 of its colors.

It looks like the Gatehouse, under "Locations of Interest", says "It doesn't look like we support that format". So there's no picture. Even when I extract that file, it still says the same thing. Looks like your export may have corrupted something or been of the wrong type. Edit: To specify, the Gatehouse for Windows appears to not a valid image. Not sure about the Mac as I don't have a Mac.

Thanks for pointing this out! I believe I've gone in and fixed the issue--have uploaded a new version of the pack (same download link above). Let me know if that didn't solve it however

These are great!! I used them to make a map of a city my players are visiting and they're fantastic!
