UPDATE May 10th: We have released the second batch of asset packs from the backlog that have been converted for Dungeondraft. The following packs are now also available for download below: Town Assets, General Store Assets, 4-Year Community Assets, Dungeon Assets 1, 2, and 3, Dungeon Entrances 1 and 2, Combat Assets 1 and 2, Harbor Assets, Mining Assets, Tree Assets 1 and 2, Furniture Assets 2, and Spell Assets 1, 2, and 3. Enjoy!
The moment that many of you have been waiting for is here: the arrival of our map asset content to Dungeondraft! This was a new route for expanded content that you all opted for back in January and I'm so glad to be able to start getting this into your hands. For those of you not already familiar, Dungeondraft is an easy-to-use mapmaking program released a little over a year ago that offers a high degree of functionality paired with user-friendly controls and interface:
Let me start by establishing that this is a work in progress. I and a small group of volunteers (big thanks to Troy, Mary, and Austin!) have been working behind the scenes for the last few weeks as we've gotten the conversion process off the ground and I am so grateful for their help. The packs available for download below are not the entire asset library and there is more on the way, but a great number of them need certain updates, overhauls, and/or more specific conversions to be utilized by Dungeondraft and I wanted to at least get the more than half of that library out to you all to be used rather than waiting for the entire project to be completed.
You can expect likely 2-3 more updates on this post (with notifications sent when they are up) as we eventually push out the remainder of the unconverted part of the backlog. Eventually you will see this post become the landing page for new patrons or new users of Dungeondraft to begin easily grabbing what they need and onboarding themselves to the program. In the meantime...
I may in the future create my own guide to more quickly facilitate the asset importing process as well as fun tricks that may be specialized to our content, but in the meantime I'd highly recommend the Dungeondraft Community Manual. This is a PDF guide created by the Dungeondraft community and those found on their Subreddit. This subreddit is another great resource I'd point you towards as a new Dungeondraft user as a place where you'll find lots of other user-created maps, tips & tricks, and a community to upload your own questions to when needed.
