Hello all!

With the release of the Underdark Assets pack last week we need to vote on our next larger installment of the public asset packs. I've included the remaining options from the previous poll as well as an option for a 2nd iteration of a previous pack. If that option were to win there would need to be a followup poll to decide between the various options:  Forest, Tavern, Snow, Rivers, Urban, Caves, Ships, Castles, Mountainside, Sewers, Chase, and Underdark.

*Since I know it's been a popular request as of late, let me be fully transparent: I am working on a furniture-themed booster pack already to supplement the previous tavern assets, that is why it's not listed as an option below.

As you probably realize I try to keep these larger packs more broadly focused in their theme as opposed to the more specific booster packs; if you have any suggestions on themes you'd like to see in the future please let me know!

Thank you for voting!

Thanks for these polls, great to have some input on this. There's an asset-type that wouldn't be listed, but personally, I would really like to see a larger variety of, and that's architectural top-view trees and bushes. The ones that don't show leaves, just the branches coming out. You've made a few of them in the past, I'd just like to see a larger variety, and bushes done in the same style. The reason is I like them is because they're largely transparent, so it's easy to see exactly what may be beneath them, but everyone understands that there's a larger tree over it.

Would this be similar to the ‘underneath trees’ I’ve released in the Tree Asset packs previously? I understand why these would be good for treetops, but I don’t understand the utility of it for bushes?

Venatus, I have recently purchased Dungeondraft and I must say, all of your assets are absolutely PERFECT for the program and fit the default artstyle reasonably well. However, they are a bit of a pain to make into asset packs that load into the program. Would you be willing to release your assets preloaded into Dungeondraft packs? Thanks.

On your 'Battle Map Announcement' image, showing the various asset packs, it's the bare tree form in the upper right octant of the map. The reason I mentioned bushes is for style consistency. That kind of tree form is an architectural landscape classic, and can be done in many variations. Not to say that your other trees aren't great, but you were asking for ideas and this one that I don't recall being fully developed.

It does take a bit of time to get the assets ready for dungeondraft and turn them into asset packs. I use them in dungeondraft and, if you take the time and even got as far as making them colorable, it is well worth it.

I love the fact we have these opportunities to vote on the next pack. You do realize it's just for the pack we want right now (yeah, I know, we're a bit impatient and dare I say it demanding). In the end we're still expecting to eventually see all of them, right? No pressure though...

I think I know what you're looking for. Something that would allow the creation of Ewok (Star Wars) type environments? Yeah, that would be super cool to have encounters not under the trees but actually in the trees. Don't know how easy it would be to create. Then again I'm definitely not an artist since I totally rely on these packs to create my maps, so I really have no idea.

Oh the "dead trees"? Yeah I suppose I could incorporate more of those into a future pack--you're sure what you're describing isn't accomplished with the 'underneath trees'? At least, with the aspect of being able to 'see through' the trees in consideration?

I've reached out to Dungeondraft's creator and will look into it; to be completely honest I already do a LOT of file management as is and I am not especially attracted to the idea of yet more of it for a specific mapping program when I could be using that time for more mapmaking itself. BUT if it seems doable and will make them easy to use in that software I will look into it.

Objects work beautifully already, although they are wildly out of scale compared to the default assets. Not something to complain about though since higher res assets are objectively better anyway. Making terrain, tilesets and patterns work is downright impossible though without some nontrivial photoshopping work, since those all have to be specific sizes and/or tile, and are also in a different scale I think. Having Venatus' flooring that works in DD would be super amazing.
