Hey there! Thank you for being a Patron! Here's the full reaction to GOOD MORNING, VIETNAM!

This movie was definitely a hilarious time with some serious moments mixed in, given the scenario, BUT it always came back to the comedy aspect of it. There were so many funny bits, just quirky little things that Robin Williams said, so much so that I feel like this is one of those reactions where it would be better to watch the full version to it because an edited down version doesn't do it as much justice, AND I SAY THIS AS UNBIASEDLY AS POSSIBLE 🤣
He plays a perfect role in this film; I feel like no one else could ever play this kind of character of than him! Overall, what a hilarious time! Hope you all enjoy!!

NOTE: You follow along with your own copy of the movie; I have a little timer right at the beginning where it counts down and shows the word "play" when I myself start playing the movie. I also have a timer synced throughout the movie so you're also in sync the whole time! If you don't have your own copy, then you'll have pretty much no idea what's happening!

Ryan

The really interesting thing about this film is that it's clearly Williams trying to branch out into more dramatic material, but also still playing a guy who's supposed to be really funny so he isn't taken too far out of his comfort zone. He'd later become much more comfortable doing purely dramatic roles like Awakenings, Good Will Hunting, and One Hour Photo (one odd quirk is that he tended to grow a beard when doing serious films).

Michael Nolan

I never noticed that! Beard = not funny. I think there are still a couple of lame Dad jokes from his bearded characters but the principle is sound. He truly did grow into a real dramatic actor. I still tear up watching "Awakenings" (my grandmother had Parkinsons disease and dementia.)
