Letter From Lexual: AMAZING News (Patreon)

Last week I announced that I would be releasing new videos today, Monday the 5th. Those plans have changed for one big reason: IM GETTING A NEW CAMERA! That's right, your girl has officially upgraded to a Canon Eos T6I- the holy grail of vlogging DSLRs, thanks to my generous benefactor. I also got a teleprompter, mic, and hella accessories. Sound and visuals will be crispier than ever before. So the JSYK scripts I have are on hold until I can film with the new camera. 

BUT WAIT...

The original purpose for this camera is webseries creation. I am currently writing scripts for eight 10-12 minute episodes that will be released exclusively to patreon. These episodes comprise season one of a history-related series and will be releasing bi-weekly beginning in April. I'm calling it a series because it's an actual production...with a budget, new theme song, logos, clothes, allat. 

Over the next few weeks I'll be dropping hints about the mysterious series. I'm so excited for this project because it really gives me a chance to flex my researching and creative capabilities. I haven't announced this to twitter, and I won't do so until April. I am replacing the "livestream lecture" patreon incentive with this and other future exclusive webseries. My goal is to release a new series to this platform once every four months.

In the meantime, this month you can expect the usual reading lists, a few written posts (Black Panther essay dropping Wednesday), and a VLOG of my speaking engagement at Ohio State! You'll also get the full video of my speaking engagement exclusively. Going forward with patreon beginning March 14th, you can expect 2-3 new posts every other Wednesday. Thanks so much for understanding that as a one-woman team, content isn't churned out daily like at major media outlets. It's important to me to maintain quality over quantity.
