JSYK: Why No School Should Be Named After Booker T Washington (Patreon)

Time and time again I have voiced my disdain for Black History Month because people "celebrate" for clicks and likes instead of seeking to enrich our understanding of the past. One face that I've seen posted and shared over the past few weeks (on trend, because his name pops up every year) without any analysis of his behavior is Booker T Washington. In this video I explain why I am no fan of his, and show why I think he's presented as a black hero in a similar fashion to other sanitized black figures like Martin Luther King Jr.
