Hello my wonderful Patreon supporters!

I hope this post finds each and every one of you in good spirits. Firstly, I want to start by saying a heartfelt thanks for your patience through this long stretch without updates. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for each and every one of you still hanging on!

I am so sorry to go so long without news. Life has thrown some unexpected curveballs my way this past year, and it's been quite a grind to keep up with my dayjob and still make progress on The Puzzling Fate of Millicent Graves. As always when I'm overwhelmed, posting news online is the first thing that falls off my plate!

On the bright side, staying silent online lets me put all my attention into creative work.

So, here's the news... Over the past year, I've:

  • Fully outlined the Ninecrow sequel and started writing
  • Loosely outlined book 3 (!)
  • Finished a bunch of new pages of Crooked Mile (and got past a few sticky wickets in the plot for the final few chapters)
  • All while sketching over 200 pages of Millicent Graves!! 😱

Phew.

Getting those sketches done was a big stressor. For a while there it felt like there was absolutely NO way in heck I could get them done in time for the book to come out as scheduled. And I reallllly want it to be out next year. It's already been five years since Haunted Serpent came out and disappeared without a whisper. It's been such a slog trying to sell another book since. I'm kinda desperate to see some sign that I'm making headway, ya know?! 🤞🤞🤞

Anyway, I want you all to know that your continued support during this period of hibernation means everything to me. Even though I haven't been able to post new work, your patience and belief in my creative vision fuels my determination to bring you the best possible content.

With that said, I TRULY plan to keep you updated more regularly from now on with sneak peeks at how Millie is progressing, along with Crooked Mile and Ninecrow news. Here are some quick little behind-the-scenes glimpses to kick things off!

I'm planning a more detailed post soon to show how some pages have evolved with feedback from my editor, plus a look at my coloring process!

And a quick peek at one of my favorite upcoming moments from Crooked Mile:

New pages of Crooked Mile are coming very soon!

Once again, I just want to say that your loyalty and understanding have given me the strength to push forward :) Thanks to everyone who has messaged to check in! I'm genuinely thrilled to have you with me on this journey.

Sending warmest regards and virtual hugs to each of you!
