This is the first of the Beholders / Eye Horrors (Thank you  Robert for that name)

I have also done a second one, image coming in just a sec.

I am currently working on having the eye storks being separate and poseable. I should have done this from the start, but didn't think of it until Rmey mentioned it, so thank you :)

There will be 4 versions of this sculpt total 1 whole 2 whole with separate eye storks 3 split for fdm with separate eye storks and 4 split for fdm.

Thank you for all your input with the names there were loads of really great ones, and I might use some of the others for future sculpts :)

That's a fantastic design. The posable idea is great.

I am late to the party, I didn't see this until is showed up in my email this morning. What about making the central eye bigger? I know it is much easier said than done... and I will admit I am highly influenced by all the existing beholder art out there which shows the central eye being much larger. I took this image and annotated it but I don't see a way of attaching it. I will attempt to describe what I am thinking. Extend the sides of the current upper socket ridge out and down by about 75% on each side along the line created by the 4 outer small eyes. The 2 inner most eyes would be inside the larger central socket. Move the lower socket ridge to just above the teeth ridges or maybe combine the teeth ridges with the lower socket ridge. The center socket and therefore the center eye would be about 2-2.5 times the current size. Unfortunately my description means removing the 6 additional eyes which I think are great features.

Absolutely love your take on this classic monster!

Mi gusta!

This one looks like it was cooked up in a gene vat, vice the other with the fantasy flavour. Love both styles.

love this one it reminds me of cyclops version of the floating head creature in Big Trouble in Little China. Love both versions this feels more scifi the other feels more fantasy, if that makes sense

I really dig this look. Probably my favorite of this particular monster

I'm gonna be honest, this has been growing on me. I like it more now.

Just printed this at 75% size (I like my beholders a little smaller) and I really like it. Feels more beholder like than I thought from the preview.

I made one of these and painted it up. I was hoping to post a pic, but that doesn't seem possible. Great work! Thanks!

Yeah Patreon isn't great for posting and sharing images yet, might be something they improve in the future. You can always post it online and share a link or tag me in a facebook comment something like that.
