So I have split the 2nd Glabrazu slightly differently and I'm running a test print now to see what I can learn in my never ending quest for the best way to split figures for fdm printing.

I will post July's releases tomorrow so you can all start printing :)

I have no idea how some people do it but I have noticed that some people when they split the model put a square and socket thing at the joint so it's easier to lineup and lock in place. Will take a look on YouTube and see if anyone did a video on that.

Ok one video is called "locking joint for 3d printed objects" (<a href="https://youtu.be/Fp3gR9HTJA)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/Fp3gR9HTJA)</a> looks like it locks forever when joined. Another video is Stratasys- Joint Examples for splitting up your part for 3dprinting (<a href="https://youtu.be/H2YeX2aaiqE)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/H2YeX2aaiqE)</a>

Yeah a lot of my older sculpts were jointed that way. It's the way most sculpts joins are located when the sculpt is cast in the metal or resin. Some people have problems when printing with fdm printers with the joints locking properly due to different settings, materials etc. Thanks you loads for linking the videos Robert, they seems to be coming up 404 but I'll use the titles you gave and find them on you tube.
