I forgot to post about the squirting shot but that's something I had done and finalized last week-ish. The original animation for this was kind of... mediocre so I branched this off as a different file to make some changes. I redid the fluids for this too, they just weren't very interesting when viewed from the new camera angle.
I've also been working on getting the money shot scene finally ready for simulation, haven't made a ton of progress on that, I was distracted by working on some add-ons that would be helpful to me. Most notably a lattice rig tools add-on for adding lattice based deformation to any existing rig and character easily. Long story short, I was working on this add-on specifically so I could add the lattice rigs to Taylor's face via add-on and use the lattice rigs in a real scenario with lip sync.
About the money shot stuff, some is almost ready for final fluid sim. I wanted to show the nut from a different angle too, since this is one we've seen a lot already.
Why not show an angle where we see the nut flying around more? This shot still needs some more work, it's like... roughly there sort of but I'm not happy with it yet.
I've attached an updated story board with the draft renders of the parasaur squirting shot and current versions of the money shot (without fluids). I also recorded some temp VA and with that it's good to hand off to Taylor's VA.
I wanted to take a bit of a break from this money shot thing so I did some more exploration of using rigify. I started making a rigify version of the pig rig, mostly focused more on the face and the butt.
I'm still learning/figuring things out when it comes to rigging the butt with rigify. One thing that's always plagued me is the way the donut and cheeks get weighted if they're too close together. The automatic weights don't deal too well with it so it's either manually weight paint or do the bone-per-vertex trick...
I tried this out and it works pretty well I think? I moved the entire leg over by a bit so the butt cheeks are a greater distance away from the donut in the mesh in it's rest pose. Then, for posing, you just move the entire leg and butt over by how much the bones/mesh were moved in the rest pose. And to fix weird geometry deforming around the hips, I used a smooth modifier at the end of the modifier stack.
As cool as it is to use rigify rigs and how nice they are to pose, I won't be re-doing much of the existing WIP animation for codename Deep Dish. While it's not super far along, it'd be unwise to scrap major amounts of it. However, there's some parts where the rigify rig would be awesome to use so it'll be more like on a shot-by-shot basis (like when the dragon picks up a pig in his mouth, it'd be nice to use the rigify rig to animate the pig for that part)
Another thing I did was work on a rigify version of the alien (Nyro, the alien from the water sports animation!) like, ever since I tested out the spline tentacle in rigify I knew it would be so perfect for that prehensile hose d*ck... it really is, it's so nice to pose compared to the weird, complicated setup I made myself in the old rig.
I was chatting with a friend and she was helping me brain storm some ideas for this alien species- one thing she suggested was maybe they're hermaphroditic, like all of these aliens have the male/female parts to reproduction and anyone can have babies. And I thought that's a pretty fun idea. So all of these aliens have a meaty pool noodle and to reproduce they rub the lips at the end of their appendages together and some reproductive fluid comes out (that and maybe there's some penetration going on? I'm not into urethra stuff but I think this could be fun to see. I'm using a link incase someone doesn't want to see that kind of thing)

They would lay soft but firm eggs through their appendages and it would look something like this, a bit like a fish egg or frog egg but around the size of a baseball (or maybe larger?)
So I feel like Nyro is technically non-binary... since they're species literally doesn't have a gender binary. I'm going to refer to Nyro as "they" since it's the most accurate way of classifying their gender in a way we humans might understand but in character Nyro wouldn't mind any pronouns. They would be curious about it, like "what about me is male?" or "what about me is female?"
(That being said though there would be variations of this alien that have more pronounced [as in, big] breasts or maybe 4 breasts because that'd be fun right? But culturally to their species they wouldn't be "female" in the way we conceptualize female, they just have a squishier chest, with a better capacity for lactation. Oh also these aliens can all lactate including Nyro, that'll come up some time I hope)
It'd be so cool to be this alien you know? The things you could do with your prehensile dong...
This pose is actually one of the reasons why rigify is awesome, the spine has a great compromise between being able to control it from the top of the spine (near the neck) and the hips. Like it looks janky for now because the rig isn't finished but hitting this pose for testing was very easy.
(The speed got messed up on this gif but I think it's pretty silly in a fun way so I kept it that way :p)
Here's another jank pose (teeth and tongue aren't hooked up yet, the fingers aren't rigged yet, mouth/face rig isn't complete) but it'd be so cool if they're just chilling out, enjoying some alone time, tugging on their balls, drinking their own fluids, getting it all over...
Anyway that's it for now. I'll get the raptor money shot done and ready for simulating fluids asap then I can move on to the last couple of shots that need to be done (the part where Taylor says stuff and the underside knotting view).
