For everyone who is having trouble with WREN, this video showing me beating it and the added tips as well should hopefully help out with it some.

As a reminder, you can access the WREN fight by going through either of the blue portals on the sides of the Save Pad you start the demo on.

That said, we would only encourage you to watch this video if you've tried many times against him, as he is intended to be the final boss for the normal game and as such, is intended to be challenging; a lot of enjoyment from games comes from beating difficult scenarios, so watching the video might ruin your own "learning process" of how to beat him.

(Do remember too, in the full game, you'll have all the new powerups that are replacing the existing ones to make the fight easier if you want.)

Additionally, just to clarify, there is no "ending" to this demo (like all the other demos besides v027F); the demos are only meant to show new audio and art assets/features/maps, never to be a complete polished demo as we're waiting until everything is done asset-wise before sticking everything together and polishing it.

The closest thing to an "ending" in this demo is beating WREN and getting the special cutscene after it.

Honestly the only thing about gameplay still POKIN ME INTHA RIBS is the inability to switch elements while unable to move. Stance-switching while stunned is something that a lot of control schemes overlook imo

Not sure what you mean; you can switch elements at any time, even while stunned, are you unable to? If you're on keyboard, you might have one of the older styles that prevents certain 3 button combinations being pressed; if that's the case, http://keyboardchecker.com/ should help you see what button combos work for you, and then I'd recommend remapping your buttons to those combos if possible (or using a controller).

We're going to consider alternate ways of making the pillar visuals show, once we've gotten the True Final Boss done etc.

One thing I also noticed was that for the pillars phase, if the pillars you are standing on are still moving up and down unevenly, they were generally a safe zone for a decent amount of time, before moving to whatever other pillars were acting the same way.

Have to say, awful boss design, those pillars act way to random to be fair. It is terrible design to leave beating a boss to a random chance, especially when the pillars move so fast and can also one shot. Getting killed due to getting stuck with needing to somehow pixel perfect a jump through a set of closing pillars while hoping to christ that the set you are landing on only just started blinking red. The charge shot is way too clunky for a boss that hectic to begin with, especially when getting hit negates the charge too. Not everyone is a pro gamer and many do not have the best hand eye coordination to attempt such a gut punch of a difficulty spike.
