Actually it was the Ocean Spirit that grabbed him. Aang was not in control. And I mean, the guy did kill it's sister, so I can understand its actions.

I don't think we are supposed to believe aang killed zhao. I think its just supposed to be the ocean spirit that killed him, on its way back to the oasis

Yes in addition to the above comments you can see the Ocean Spirit had already put aang back and killed Zhao itself. Also fro waterbending, remember it's not just nighttime that made them so powerful it was also because it was a full moon (so Katara isn't that powerful every night). And yeah angry Iroh is the best. Loved the reaction!

Oh boy, Book 2 next! One of my all-time favorite seasons of television. Also, this is why Zuko is the best character in the show. You really don't 100% know where he's going or how to feel on him.

Aang's body must not be moved because he won't know how to get back. But in this episode, Hei Bai's (the panda spirit) bluish power had helped guided Aang back.

Wow guys you finished book 1! 🤗 I loved your reactions to this epic finale, especially the tears 😉 it's great to see other people also so invested in these great characters 😊 and I'm so excited to see you watch book 2. As for Zuko, I was only 11 when I first watched the show & hated him for a long time but watching it now from season 1, he's hard to figure out as he's suffered a lot at the hands of his father & is trying to redeem his honour & has shown compassion towards his uncle & others, but yet seems to have no problem burning down villages (Kyoshi) & attacking anyone who stands in his way of abducting a 12 year old boy to take to live the rest of his days most likely in a fire nation prison cell. Zuko seems like an impatient, hot-headed teenager who acts first & thinks later. What will become of him? You'll have to watch & see. P.S. Sorry JV but Jane wins best wrestler voice for sure 🤗😊

Aang didn't kill him! The spirit dropped him off on the wall and then went back and grabbed the dude! Definitely hope to see Book 2! :D Also, Legend of Korra comes AFTER this series. Trying to watch them both at once would be like trying to watch Star Wars Episode 4 and Star Wars Episode 5 at the same time. You have to watch them in order. XD
