I know you guys are new to Anime, but I highly suggest to watch the original subbed version. The English dubbed of Attack on Titan is the worst I have ever heard and they really dropped the ball with Eren's English voice actor...even some of the dialogue scenes are changed and it makes it sound more cheese than what it really was. Either way, I love you guys, I'm happy that you are reacting to this anime is truly a gem and I will continue to support you all the way.

Let them do their thing. The subs can be dubious much of the time. No one actually talks like that. The dubs sound more natural. I only watch subs if the dub isn't available or if they're done very poorly.

Also do Death Note. It's cute, Jane, you'd like it. It's about a funny demon dude's quest for apples. Not dark at all.

Guys this is great an all but the Japanese voices have much more emotion and will actually give you goosebumps and less cringe especially when they're shouting. At least try out the original sub version once and make ur decision.

honestly when it comes to reaction its better when they dont have to read

Personally, I think them feeling more emotion and having a better experience will illicit a better and more satisfying reaction than them talking over the dub. Pausing during the video to make predictions or comments is fine but doing that at the end is preferable. Also think about the creator's intent.

Key emotional scenes like when Eren swears revenge on the Titans, the argument before the mom's death and crucial one's yet to come are much less effective at giving feels in the dub for most people plus there's a lot of cringe. Also Eren, Mikasa and Armin's voices are a joke to me in the dub. (Especially Mikasa compared to the sub). I just want them try it once then decide
