While I'm working on page #01 of PBB-Next ( which is very complex ... there's  really a lot of work to do, but it's worth it! ) I thought back to one of my old design  where the characters of PBB wore Victorian swimsuit  published exactly 10 years ago on my Deviantart (on 2008)! ( https://vanessasan.deviantart.com/ gallery: Comic Pleasure Bon Bon ).

Today I want to make some anachronistic pinups and create a collection of PBB characters in bikini ( at least 4 female characters )! :D The ones you see in the photo are just 2 sample of the sketches of the set I want to make for this August 2018! :)

But there is another originality in this project: since in Japan I bought a set of Copic markers and original Deleter sheets for manga and I want to use them! :D So these pinups will be drawn and colored in traditional technique ... where I can not make mistakes! :O

These sketches are partly quick colored to give me already an idea of

how I will place the lights and the shadows because I can not make mistakes and corrections on  the original work.

I would like, if I can, to make videos of the coloring, I have a little Xiaomi Yi  camera  and I have to learn how to use it :)

The  final drawings will of course all be scanned and given to my Patrons (!) But this time there will also be the possibility to buy them! I would like to experience the thrill of sending a traditional unique piece to a person from Italy, from my hands ^-^.

To do this I will probably open a store on Etsy, another new experience XD,  where the Patrons will have a discount on the retail price.

This for me will be an exercise and a motivation to do something new and exciting!  :)

What do you think?

I would very much love to buy one or more original pieces of art from you, if only I had the money to do so.

VanessaSan

They will not be expensive. It will be like a price of a commission + shipping costs. But I do not want to talk about money now, the important thing is do it and publish on Patreon for all of you! :D

Great job! They look so cute!

I think that side projects like this can be a very good idea. It will allow you to draw things you're not putting in the comic, there's extra incentive to be a patron and support you, and people can get something truly unique from you. And most important of all; If you enjoy making these drawings, then you should abolutely do it, because your happiness and motivation is the heart and soul of Pleasure Bon Bon.

Those sketches are super cute. I love them. If you do end up opening up a store on Etsy, i will most definitely be there to purchase a piece of art or two. XD

I think the idea is not wrong as I always say a hand drawing with colors so it is a very good idea and more of you that followed for a long time I like the idea but on the other hand having a market with that is already difficult to have a piece of you is hard for me but nothing is possible I put in time and be what I am now thanks to patreon and not being able to fulfill my dream of being here with you may have the future is inevitable I like it and more about you Vanesa an artist that I love and I continue for a long time you know that you have my support continues like this and devianart did not know you had a page but I'm going to see it right now keep it that way all my heart I love your drawings and comics

I too would buy original art from you and frame it, the work is lovely and selling or not it brings a smile to look at the work you do and have done. As well as reading comments from others here and seeing the happiness you bring them. =3

all patrons will have scans of the final artworks and the video process! The only difference is that there will also be the paper version available, as I hope in the future the paper version of the PBB comic! Because it may sound strange that I sell a drawing on paper but it is normal to sell a comic book on paper, only that I have never tried this thing. I hope one day to earn enough money on patreon to invest a little bit to print the PBB comic on paper! Thanks to your support you help me achieve this dream! :)

VanessaSan

Thank you! A I replied to pauloaram above, this is just a first timid approach to sell a version of my works on paper to prove the experience that in the future could become ... sell the comic book on paper! Like all comics: D unfortunately, printing a comic book involves a large sum of money to invest, while an artwork no. Selling a drawing allows me to create a piggy bank to invest the savings in future prints, this is a simple process. Alternatively ... in the future I could open a kickstarter for printing the first chapter of PBB, but now it's too early to think about it, let's start with small and simple things ... and doing the comic especially! XD

VanessaSan

Thank you! As I said in the other answers, this would be a test to prepare me to sell the comic book on paper in the future, which is a very normal thing ... if it were not that requires an investment, then I have to work hard to achieve this second phase, the more ambitious. For everyone it seems normal to sell a comic book on paper, for me it seems impossible, R. NEVER wanted to invest in the paper version of PBB, even if we had good sales in the past according to him, just because he did not wanted to do. And that's that. I stayed with this craving to print and sell PBB for 13 years ... I will never get the satisfaction but sooner or later I'll do with my strength! :D

VanessaSan

You are right Symphony, the happiness is something that I I search in my work, something I was losing and now that I'm more positive I do not want to give up :D Of course Patrons will have scans of the final artworks and the video process! The only difference is that there will also be the paper version available, as I hope in the future the paper version of the PBB comic! ;) it is a big wish, I hope to make it happen sooner or later!

no thanks to you for your drawings I love that you draw I follow you long ago as I told you and I look forward to your progress will be perfect

Kanbe Namura

That sounds like an amazing plan, Vanessa! :D I love these hand drawn pictures of Mary and Violet. ^o^ As for making a video of the drawings... As long as it's not too difficult to set up, that'd be wonderful to see you draw traditionally of your characters for the swimsuit event in the summer. :)
