These two are my favorite reactors on Youtube, and it's this reaction that got me to sign up to your Patreon. Glad they've seen it - now I can't wait for them to see Prey and pick up on all the callbacks to this film. Technical note: the reactions are a bit out of synch with the film, and with each other.

Also, the gals had some unresolved questions at the end; I'd say once the metaphor of a "big game hunter" clicks, the answers make sense. • It/they come to our world every so often to hunt, in this case humans, presumably because they are so advanced that regular animals are no longer "sporting." • At the end, once it has caught Dutch, it takes off its gun and helmet in order to fight him "man to man," since he has proved so capable. • when it holds him up and looks at his skull, it's checking out its soon-to-be trophy to add to its collection. Just like asshole Europeans going to Africa to "bag an elephant" or lion or etc. so they can bring back the heads to put up on their walls.

I know I'm late to this. Even though most people say that the Predator follow-ups aren't as good as the original, I think at least a few of them are worth watching if you adjust your expectations. I would personally winnow it down to these... PREDATOR 2: No, Arnold doesn't return in this. But it *does* have that late 80's, early 90's feel to it. At the time of its release, I think people found it disappointing. However, in recent years it's had a bit of a "comeback" in how people perceive it, and now it's decently liked. (I think the reason for this comeback is that it still was shot on film, had practical effects, and just had all the hallmarks of action cinema of that period. These are things we took for granted at the time, but as the years went on and movies felt more streamlined and, well, artificial--Predator 2 feels down-right old-fashioned.) ALIEN VS. PREDATOR: This was panned at the time by various "movie geek" sites for being PG-13. And it was directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, perhaps best known as director/producer of the Resident Evil franchise. To be honest, I kind of like parts of it, and you might find it interesting if you're prepared to watch a movie that feels kind of like fan fiction. PREY: This one JUST came out like a year ago. When it was announced that Disney, of all companies, was producing this, and that it was going to be released on Hulu, the response was automatically negative. Certain Youtube channels had a field day, making video after video about how Prey was going to "woke trash." Well, it came out. And it turned out to be arguably the best of the Predator sequels, to the point where it was a shame that it wasn't given a theater release. If you limit your sequel watching to just ONE movie, I recommend Prey. (Yes, there were other Predator movies beyond what I listed, but I think they are for the most part, terrible.)
