Great Reaction as always. I was glad to rewatch this with you before the new Nolan movie comes out. Midway is another good modern made war movie.

Christopher Nolan said all characters in this are fictional because he could not do justice to the true stories in the mixed perspectives of the film, but he hoped the film would encourage people to look up the true stories. There were alot of scenes filmed at Dunkirk for this.

I always thought the last shot of the movie was kinda weird, with how it ends on a great shot of the burning plane, fade to black for a second, then on our main POV character on the train for a second..Just seems odd, I feel like the plane shot was a better ending.. A few things: Some of the standing army in the background were just cardboard cutouts.. A few of the civilian boats used in the film were the actual boats that went to Dunkirk.. They got real WW2 Spitfires for most of the plane and dogfight sequences.. And, yes, Nolan strapped an IMAX camera onto the wing of a plane.. As well as, previously mentioned, they did film at Dunkirk itself..
