Fun fact! In the scene where Rexy (the T-Rex) pushes her head through the window of the car, that actually wasn't supposed to happen. I think the water or something caused the animatronic to break through the glass, so those kids were genuinely terrified in that scene.

I think this is a weird urban legend that I've seen a few times on the internet. There is so much planning involved to get the camera shots that they did, including the one of the camera entering in and out of the car from above. There's no way that the glass happened to break into the car and they just "went with it."

Mallika Anand

Oh really? I guess it's possible. I just assumed that since so many people have been saying it, there must've been some evidence about it somewhere

WastedPo

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just something that isn't true, but has just spread around the internet, maybe because it's fun to believe. A LOT of stuff that people say about movies have to do with moments they claim were accidents or improvised, and some of them just aren't true. I think the key is that, if a moment or scene clearly took a lot of logistical planning and camera setups, then it was preplanned.

Growing up in the 90s, I had nothing but dinosaur and zombie nightmares lol but nonetheless, movies and video games based on those things were my absolute favorite. Jurassic Park is still one of my favorite movies of all time. Too bad the latest installment was a whole lot of nothing. That's probably why they needed to bring back og characters haha

LOVE this movie! There is something called Jurassic Quest, that has animatronic dinosaurs. It tours the country acutally, and sets up for a weekend or so at each location. Its a family friendly thing, though. I took my youngest to it several years ago, that was back when they only had, like 5 dinos, now its super huge. They even have "baby dinosaurs" the kids can play with.

This movie is so good, the animatronics looks amazing and still holds up, also it just looks massive and big! It's one of those movies that I always like to go see when they release it in the theater. The entire T-Rex and raptor scenes are done to perfection, so suspenseful and they just look great. I love that they take their time with showing you the raptors, they showed it killing the guy in the beginning and eating the cow but you never see it. They actually do a very good job with giving you hints about the dangerous ones, like the spitting dinosaur. With that one I like they make it look not as threatening, the noises it makes doesn't sound as bad as the other ones but when those frills pop up it's terrifying! I like these characters and the arcs they go through, especially Hammond and Grant. You do really feel for Hammond, this was his dream and he made it real, he looked so excited in the beginning and to have it all crash down was sad to see for him. I also love that he says the "spared no expense" so happily every time except for the last time when he and Ellie are talking at the table, it sounded sad like the spare no expense was part of the problem and now he sees that. And yes, babies smell very good, they smell like baby soap and they just naturally smell like that, lol.

Fun fact: Since no one knows exactly what dinosaurs sounded like, sound designer Gary Rydstrom had to get creative. For the T-Rex, he used a mix of elephant, alligator, and tiger sounds, adding a pinch of his own Jack Russel, Buster. For the frilled spitting Dilaphosaurus, he turned to swans. The Brachiosaurus were donkeys, slowed to a songlike croon. When it came to the sound of the velociraptors, however, Rydstrom really embraced the call of the wild, as it was actually the sound of tortoises mating. Furthermore, the stampede of Gallimimus are actually the sound of a female horse getting excited and squealing at a male horse when he got "a little too close". Also, Steven Spielberg was inspired to include the rippled water effect when he noticed his rear view mirror shaking while listening to Earth Wind And Fire in his car, but the filmmakers he assigned to make it happen for the movie were baffled. Michael Lantieri, who worked on Special Dinosaur Effects, finally figured it out when playing his guitar, discovering that a particular note/frequency did the trick. So they fed a guitar string through the car, to the ground, and had a guy lay under the car and pluck the guitar string.

ensamble react!!!!! Yes!

Please do the entire series. Even Jurassic World. I think ALL the movies range from good to enjoyable....except the very last Jurassic World movie. Ngl that one is...the weakest one. However I still think its worth a watch. Thank you for another awesome reaction from all 4 of you!

I love this movie. I found it incredibly fascinating when I saw it as a kid. Everything still looks so good. The acting was great from everyone, and John Williams' score is absolute fire. From what I heard, the entire movie only had six minutes of CGI. SIX MINUTES. It's just insane. Great reaction from you guys. Love these ensemble reactions so much.

The band Haim said at one point that part of the reason they had taken so long to release another album was that Este Haim kept accidentally ripping off the Jurassic Park theme.

As you said, a lot of the science in this movie is now really outdated, and a few elements were wrong on purpose to increase the tension. But it's still a fantastic movie anyway.

I am Alan Grant in this movie lol. The way he feels about kids in the beginning, the way he feels about science. Exactly the same lol. Sorry Stella, but it doesn't matter how many times I watch this movie, the kids will always annoy me. I mean don't get me wrong, they get more likeable as the movie goes on, but the start is rough.

Makayla

Fun science fact: the thing about the amphibian DNA being the reason they could reproduce in the wild is unnecessary. Many reptiles and birds have been documented to be able to spontaneously reproduce asexually, ie without a male, thus dinosaurs would also be able to do this.

FatLittleButterfly

Tim gets on my nerve, but I guess kids that age are almost all like that, myself included xD Jurassic Park has always been one of my favs growing up, and I will watch any amount of Jurassic movies as long as they keep making them!
