I personally enjoyed the maze runner series though they could have ended it better but I feel you all seriously misread Teresa's character? Maybe you all ere joking when you said she could kill them, sorry if I misunderstood but with Teresa's emotions I thought it was clear, she still clearly cared about them, she just believed that the cure was worth the cost. Like if she didn't care, she wouldn't have tried to explain herself to Thomas in the second film which showed she cared a lot about what he thought of her and if she didn't care she wouldn't have been so emotional about betraying them. Like when they were angry towards her (rightly so) she still looked hurt, which I also think her showing that she cared about them. I do personally prefer Thomas in the books and prefer Newts death in the books (book spoiler) because Thomas actually has to shoot Newt in the head, on purpose as well, a mercy killing. Instead of the knife by accident. It just felt more impactful to me that Thomas had to purposly kill his best friend (they were even closer in the books). Thomas is also a lot angrier character in general and in fact Thomas kills Janson by strangling him, with just pure pent up fury and it just felt more realistic that Thomas would be so angry after everything they'd been through. The movies sort of tried to show Thomas's more angrier side due to the books but I think the books did it a lot better and made it feel more realistic to me due to the situations the film left out, mainly the brutal killing of Janson by Thomas. When I watched the movie I have to say I was dissapointed Thomas didn't end up directly killing him unlike the books XD maybe its a bad thing but it felt satisfying to me when Thomas directly kills him XD

Some other changes to the books as far as I remember is that Thomas went back into the maze to save other kids and his final fight with Janson was them escaping a maze that was getting blown, there was no "science falcility" that they went too. Teresa died there too, while pushing Thomas out of the way of a Maze wall that was falling. I quite like how they started in the maze and the final fight ended in the maze so its a pity the film changed that. What I'm glad they took out was that Thomas and Teresa could in fact talk telepathically to each other, due to the experiments but the movie took that out. Also in the books as far as I remember, there WAS NO cure, Thomas blood was not the answer. The story ended with the immunes basically having to start over humanity and watch the rest of humanity die, the scientists in WICKED failed to find any kind of cure, it didn't really end on a hopeful note, unlike the film, which ended hopefully with Thomas with a cure. In the books Thomas was special because he had basically aced all the tests WICKED had thrown his way, he was a prodigy in all of WICKD Tests however he was not special due to his blood. Thomas in fact help design the Maze, which I think made more sense as to why Thomas was so interested in it since he actually was a big help creating it (not that he knew that at the time) :)

so i also hate Teresa, however and i hope you guys see this. she wanted to remember thomas, so if they do get the cure, she will know her betraying him was worth it. its not about thomas liking her. its about her feeling less guilty about what she did

you forget they do have the cure at the safe haven tho. so if anyone managed to make iot to the remote island and was also infected, we have the cure for it. because thomas is there
