Actually, I've only watched it once before, and fell asleep as well, So my first full watch of it was this one along you guys hahaha. Great movie. Great reaction. Incredible world too, the design and thought behind the mechanics of living with monsters like that, I get it now.

Just got 30 minutes into this and realized you guys didn't have subtitles for the sign language?!?! 😳 There's definitely supposed to be subtitles for the sign language! You probably had it set on the captions option for people who are hard of hearing and don't need subtitles for the ASL. How did you understand anything that was happening?? Now I gotta watch the rest and see if you figured it out at some point! 😄

I dislike it in general when reactors (who aren't hard of hearing) use captions. (It's just not a natural way to watch a movie. They always "read ahead" of the actors saying the lines, and it throws off how the scenes are ideally meant to play out.) But wow, this is a downside I never would've thought of. (Albeit, probably unique to this movie.)

I can't say too much, cuz I also watch everything with subtitles! 😄 I miss things if I dont. But yes, it is a unique problem to movies that use ASL. Unfortunately the same thing happened to me the first time I watched CODA. We got like 20 minutes in and realized that surely we were supposed to understand what they were saying. Then we messed with the settings and figured it out. Haha. (Side note: CODA would be a great movie for y'all to react to if you haven't seen it!)
