Moulin Rouge(2001) is a great movie musical to watch . Also The Phantom Of The Opera(2004) is good to .

I'm just curious, but are you still ending the Starkid reactions with this one? I thought I remember you saying that in a previous video. If you don't though, I highly recommend Starship and Holy Musical Batman.

If you guys haven’t seen it, I would recommend the pro-shot stage film of Hamilton!

Tori Jeri

I definitely recommend Hamilton it’s so good (on Disney plus) and one of my personal favorites is Rent

Coco

I think Hairspray is a really good musical

azazelisawesome

Either Les Miserables or Falsettos - gotta get that angst in!!!

jonathan Edge

From what i recall they are ending Starkid with this one and moving on to other things .

In terms of more musicals to watch I recommend Falsettos, Little Shop of Horrors, The Phantom of The Opera (2011), West Side Story, Cabaret, Legally Blonde, and Newsies! (2017).

Hey, this isn't related to this video, but the movie I watched tonight that caused me to miss the livestream was "the tomorrow war" was a good movie, it's a unique concept and was a good movie, defiantly worth a watch

As far as musicals, a great start would be the Phantom of the Opera (Royal Albert Hall, 2011 version) and it's sequel, Love Never Dies (2012). Also, the Camelot musical (live and film version) is one of my favorites but I've yet to see anyone react to it. Definitely consider this one! Of course, loving the great content guys!! Your starkid run has been "totally awesome" 🤙🏻

I think mama Mia (my guilty pleasure movie), Hamilton, be more chill, I just love musicals

Hamilton & Hairspray!

Sad to see the end of Starkid reactions!! :( But so glad you reacted to them to begin with! For movie musicals: these are the classics but, Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka, Grease, Mamma Mia. And then there are musicals that were filmed on stage, which I recommend Hamilton and Legally Blonde (both which have good recordings online). In The Heights just came out in cinemas too, which is a musical movie based on a musical, and later this year Dear Evan Hansen is coming out as another musical movie based on a musical (which is SO GOOD, you guys definitely need to watch the movie when it comes out!!!). Other than that, I know Thor is doing a lot of the Disney stuff, and you could maybe react to a few Disney musicals together, if you guys haven't seen the same ones he's watching - Anastasia is a personal fave :P

Wouldn't go so far as to say that about people who enjoy the 2004 movie. Probably best to keep the comments less aggressive. I'm just glad people are recommending Phantom because it's a solid musical no matter who plays the part. That version of phantom's story is most people's intro to Weber's material, right? We can all admit that we watch "reaction channels" to feel some nostalgia - can't blame people for recommending it.

jonathan Edge

Thanks for the input . Was on the fence with it but i may check it out .

YES . They need to loosen up a bit . What better way to do it then watching Meryl Streep sing ABBA songs .

Summer Hinch

And The Solve it Squad!

Little Shop of Horrors

Heads up, if you do Les Mis, it's very very long and sometimes really slow

We Are The Tigers is batshit crazy if you wanna watch that, but idk how youtube would go on that since the only copy of the musical that I know of is shared through google drives and has some cut out bits lol. I think you'd like The Lightning Thief Musical and Be More Chill Off-Broadway (Or On Broadway, but OFF-Broadway came out first). There's also something really funny that's not a musical, but a musical show. Galavant, you'd have to buy it on Prime Video though (I bought both seasons, so-) that I think you guys would find to be very funny cause it's a comedy musical show set in the Knight times.

Falsettos !!

Gotta go old school on you...The Sound of Music, Camelot, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Oliver! If you're trying to get a comprehensive appreciation for musicals then these are must sees. The only recent musicals I've seen and enjoyed are Hamilton and The Greatest Showman.

Hamilton for sure!

Oh I'd LOVE to see you guys react to the original broadway version of Into the Woods. They recorded it and it's amazing and hilarious.
